Discover how integrated care will shape the future of the NHS
The government's mission to build a health service fit for the future

July 15, 2025 in Frameworks
Procurement Services has an Integrated Community Care Equipment and Associated Services framework, which allows for the procurement of a range of care equipment, as well as a number of services. Due to the significant funding shortfall that NHS England is experiencing, there have been adverse effects on the delivery of services and the long-term stability of its finances, according to multiple sources such as UK Parliament and NHS Confederation. Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) recognise this and are taking steps to support.
What are Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)?
Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) are groups that were set up by the NHS in 2022 to plan and pay for healthcare services in their local areas. ICBs are responsible for managing NHS budgets and working in partnership with local health and care providers to improve the health and wellbeing of communities.
What are the next steps and how can we support?
Introducing the government's 10-Year Health Plan, specified on the government website. This forms a key element of the government’s wider health. It outlines plans for transformation through three major changes:
- Hospital to community
- Analogue to digital
- Sickness to prevention
To support the scale of changes needed, the government will ensure the whole NHS is ready to deliver these 3 shifts at pace:
- Through a new operating model
- By ushering in a new era of transparency
- By creating a new workforce model with staff genuinely aligned with the future direction of reform
- Through a reshaped innovation strategy
- By taking a different approach to NHS finances
